According to the Palestinian Sama news agency, the spokesman for the Palestinian ministry of health Ashraf al-Qadr has said that medical personnel are working round-the-clock in northern Gaza and have nothing to eat.
Over 2,000 health staff in the northern Gaza Strip are going to fast during Ramadan without the sunrise and sunset meals, he added.
The official called on international organizations to provide ready meals so that medical staff can continue their activities.
In a related development, UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa Adele Khodr has issued a statement, touching on the Gazan malnourished babies who are slowly perishing in the war.
“The child deaths we feared are here and are likely to rapidly increase unless the war ends and obstacles to humanitarian relief are immediately resolved.”
